Let’s Talk About Your Goals

What is a PDO thread lift?

PDO stands for polydioxanone, an absorbable suture material. During a lifting procedure, a provider places selected threads beneath the skin to support and reposition targeted tissue. The treatment can also stimulate a collagen response.

Thread lifts may address early facial laxity, including concerns around the cheeks or jawline. Your provider will assess your anatomy and explain which areas, if any, are appropriate for treatment.

Targeted approach

A plan shaped around the specific concerns you bring to your consultation.

Subtle expectations

Changes are generally more modest than a surgical facelift, and results are temporary.

Personal guidance

Clear discussion of the proposed technique, costs, recovery, and alternatives before you decide.

The right treatment begins with the right fit

Bring your goals, medical history, medication and supplement list, and details of previous facial treatments. Tell your provider about allergies, healing concerns, and any upcoming events.

A consultation helps determine whether threads fit your needs or another approach would be more suitable. Ask which thread product is proposed, who will perform the treatment, and what experience they have with the technique.

You deserve time to understand your options and make a comfortable, informed decision.

Your visit, step by step

1. Consultation

Discuss your priorities and review the treatment plan, risks, expected change, and personalized quote.

2. Treatment

If appropriate, local anesthetic is typically used before threads are placed. Technique and appointment length depend on your plan.

3. Recovery & follow-up

Receive individual instructions for skincare, activity, and follow-up. Plan for possible bruising, swelling, and tenderness.

Straight answers to common questions

How long will the results last?

Results are temporary and vary with anatomy, technique, thread selection, and other factors. Ask your provider what duration is realistic for your plan and how future treatment decisions will be made.

Is there downtime?

Recovery varies. Your provider will explain restrictions and when you may resume exercise, facial treatments, and other activities. Allow time for healing before important events.

What are the risks?

Possible risks include infection, bruising, swelling, persistent pain, asymmetry or an unsatisfactory result, skin dimpling, visible or protruding threads, and reactions to anesthetic. Some complications may require additional treatment or thread removal. Discuss the full risk profile before consenting.

Are all PDO threads the same?

No. Thread designs and techniques differ, and threads used for skin quality are not necessarily used for lifting. Ask your provider to explain the exact product, purpose, and expected outcome.

Can I combine a thread lift with other services?

Your provider can discuss whether other treatments or a staged approach make sense for you. Timing and compatibility depend on the procedures and your individual assessment.

What does it cost?

Ask for an individual quote based on your proposed treatment. Our team can also confirm whether the service is eligible for Cherry financing. Financing is subject to approval and individual terms.
