Let your skin goals lead the way
Sun spots, uneven-looking tone, and visible redness can leave you wondering which treatment makes sense. Start with a personal consultation and a clear understanding of your options.
Explore IPL—intense pulsed light—as part of our new spa services. We will discuss your concerns, assess suitability, and explain a treatment plan before you decide.
Thoughtful planning is the first step toward a more confident skincare routine.

What is IPL?
IPL delivers filtered pulses of broad-spectrum light. Selected pigments in the skin absorb light energy and convert it to heat. Unlike a laser, which uses a specific wavelength, IPL uses a range of wavelengths.
Although often called an “IPL laser treatment,” it is a light-based treatment. The device, settings, skin type, and concern being treated determine what is appropriate.
Skin concerns to discuss
Sun-related spots
Ask whether diagnosed benign sun spots or freckles may be suitable for a pigment-focused treatment.
Visible redness
Discuss facial redness and small visible vessels. The cause of redness should be assessed before cosmetic treatment.
Uneven-looking tone
Explore whether IPL belongs in a broader plan for your skin’s appearance and ongoing sun protection.
A consultation confirms which concerns and areas can be treated with the spa’s available equipment. New, changing, bleeding, or suspicious spots require medical evaluation before cosmetic treatment.
Your IPL experience
01 • CONSULT
Begin with your skin
Review your goals, skin history, recent tanning, medications, and previous treatments. Discuss suitability, risks, and alternatives.
02 • PLAN
Know what to expect
Confirm the treatment area, estimated cost, preparation, and anticipated recovery. Protective eyewear is required during IPL.
03 • FOLLOW UP
Review your response
Follow written aftercare and sun-protection instructions. Your response guides whether additional sessions are appropriate.
The right treatment starts with suitability
IPL is not appropriate for every skin tone, concern, or medical history. More skin pigmentation and recent UV exposure can increase treatment risks. A qualified assessment helps determine whether IPL or another approach is preferable.
Tell the provider about light-sensitive conditions, medications and supplements, recent procedures, and a history of pigment changes. Discuss melasma specifically rather than assuming all dark spots respond the same way.
Frequently asked questions
How many sessions will I need?
A series may be recommended, but the number and spacing depend on your skin, concern, device, and response. Your consultation provides an individualized estimate; results are not guaranteed.
What does treatment feel like?
Brief heat or a snapping sensation may occur. Comfort varies. Ask how your provider manages discomfort and what you should report during treatment.
Is there downtime or risk?
Temporary redness, swelling, soreness, or darkening of treated pigment can occur. Burns, blisters, pigment changes, scarring, and eye injury are possible. Recovery varies, and protective eyewear and appropriate treatment settings matter.
How should I prepare?
Avoid tanning and follow the provider’s sun-exposure instructions. Share your skincare and medication list so the team can advise on preparation. Do not stop prescribed medication without your clinician’s guidance.
How can I care for my skin afterward?
Follow the instructions provided for your treatment. Protect skin from the sun with shade, clothing, and broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher sunscreen. Contact the provider about unexpected or worsening reactions.
What does IPL cost?
Request a personalized estimate based on the area and proposed sessions. Confirm any consultation charge, package terms, and aftercare costs before booking.
