A CONVERSATION WORTH HAVING

Your concerns are welcome here.

These are topics for consultation, not promises of what FormaV will treat. Understanding the cause of a symptom helps us discuss appropriate options.

Dryness & discomfort

Talk about irritation, discomfort with intimacy, or changes you have noticed.

Leaks with activity

Discuss leakage when coughing, sneezing, or exercising and ask about an appropriate evaluation.

Changes over time

Bring questions about symptoms following childbirth or during the menopause transition.

THE TECHNOLOGY, EXPLAINED

What is FormaV?

FormaV is a radiofrequency applicator on InMode’s EmpowerRF platform. It delivers tissue heating with temperature monitoring during treatment.

Your provider selects the treatment area and settings, and explains the purpose of the proposed procedure. FormaV uses thermal RF energy; other handpieces on the platform use different technologies and have different intended uses.

A device’s availability does not establish that it is effective for every symptom. We will discuss the evidence, uncertainties, and alternatives relevant to your concerns.

A clear plan starts with an assessment.

01 • CONSULT

Tell your story

Review symptoms, your health history, medications, previous procedures, and what you hope to change.

02 • CONSIDER

Compare your options

Discuss whether RF treatment is appropriate, what benefit is supported, and which alternatives should be considered.

03 • FOLLOW UP

Review your response

If you proceed, follow the clinic’s aftercare plan and schedule a review of symptoms and treatment response.

How many visits should I plan for?

A starting series may involve three sessions spaced 2–4 weeks apart. Your provider must confirm the number, timing, treatment areas, and cost for you. Immediate changes or a specific timeline for symptom relief cannot be promised.

Questions you can ask with confidence.

Can FormaV cure dryness, incontinence, or pain with intimacy?

We cannot promise that outcome. These symptoms need assessment, and the safety and effectiveness of energy-based vaginal treatments for these purposes have not been established. Ask your provider about the evidence and other options for your specific symptoms.

Is this the same as VTone?

No. FormaV uses RF heating. VTone is a separate electrical muscle-stimulation treatment on the EmpowerRF platform. Benefits or clearances associated with one handpiece should not be assumed to apply to another.

What should I expect during an appointment?

Your provider will explain the planned examination or procedure, obtain consent, and discuss comfort and privacy. If treatment is appropriate, an applicator is used over the selected tissue. Ask about appointment length and preparation before scheduling.

Is it painless? Is there any recovery?

Comfort and recovery vary. Ask what sensations, possible side effects, and activity restrictions to expect. Treatment should not be represented as risk-free or guaranteed painless.

What are the important risks and evidence limits?

Energy-based vaginal procedures have been associated with burns, scarring, persistent pain, and pain with intercourse. ACOG notes that the FDA has not approved energy-based treatment for vaginal cosmetic surgery. Discuss these concerns with a qualified clinician before deciding. Read ACOG’s patient information on vaginal energy-based treatments.

Can I ask about pricing and financing?

Yes. Contact the clinic for a quote and ask whether your planned service is eligible for Cherry financing. Financing depends on approval and individual terms.
